Sean T. Faust is the fearless leader of New School. Memphis born and bred, Sean has become one of Memphis' most in-demand and most-beloved producers. Sean wears many hats on his fluffy head around here and functions as our lead account executive, creative director, audio man and moral compass.
Sean's career began in the cradle. His father was a Memphis music producer and Saturday mornings were usually filled with XLR cables and tube amps instead of Care Bears and cartoons. His creative passions stoked, Sean followed his muse to Syracuse University where he obtained degrees in both theatre and documentary film production. After returning to Memphis, Sean earned his stripes working at local television production companies making award-winning commercials and corporate videos. It didn't take long before his deep technical understanding, friendly personality and genuine charm made him one of Memphis' most in-demand hands on set.
In 2008, after a decade of production work for other companies, Sean found himself on set with director Brad Ellis. They decided together to take the plunge and form New School Media Group. Sean has since leveraged his leadership skills to propel New School to juggernaut status.
In addition to his film and video credits, Sean is also an accomplished musical composer and has provided soundtracks for feature films. His audio talents are well known on the other side of the glass as well and he is New School's 5.1 surround sound mixer.
As well as being one of the hottest media specialists around, Sean is also a legendary backyard cook and has been bestowed with honorific "Maître de Grille" by the École des Beaux-Barbeque in Perpignan, France. He is also a circular breather and can sustain a single note on the didjeridu for up to 176 minutes. He is a connoisseur of German beers and would love to share one with you.
