Adam is New School's Creative Director. He always brings a fresh perspective to jobs and super-charges everything we do with a highly-condensed dose of pure creativity. He comes to us via the advertising world where he spent a decade racking up enough awards to fill a small museum. He is a highly skilled graphic designer, web designer, writer, illustrator, editor, musician, audio engineer and titles designer.
After a few years of working in the field of pizza arts, Adam decided to try his hand in the slightly more honorable profession of advertising. He quickly established himself as one of Memphis' hottest young designers and in his first year was awarded the Deloss Walker Memorial Award for Outstanding Art Direction by the Memphis Advertising Federation. He spent the next seven years honing his branding skills with Red Deluxe.
Getting a bit of the seven-year itch Adam decided to jump ship and joined up with film producer Bob Compton and traveled the world making documentaries about education. Here he was able to meld his his design talents and musical talents with the film arts.
Adam is also an accomplished musician and has played on over fifty albums and has performed live in a dozen countries. He has appeared on four albums that have been named album of the year by the Memphis Commercial Appeal. He is a skilled composer and is often called upon to lend his musical talents to New School projects.
Adam also has the distinct distinction of being Sean's cousin and the two have spent their entire lives working on various projects together. In 2010 they fulfilled a lifelong dream by partnering up together at New School. You can find Adam on almost any weekend playing his combo-organ at any one of Midtown's finer establishments.
